Ok, so I finally got my blog to a good point to where I can start using it over on WordPress!
I'm excited. Its still a huge work in progress as I'm trying to get the hang of it, but I think it's a good start for someone completely clueless with the new platform.

So with that being said, stop on by and take a look.

I know WordPress is no longer going to be able to link GFC so all my 800+ followers will soon be going bye-bye which I don't want to see happen. But it is what it is.

However, if you still really love me, you can keep on following me through Facebook, Twitter, sign up for email updates and I'm trying to get my Linky Followers up and going. {if you don't know what that is, it's pretty much GFC but through a different source}.

So that is that. This will be my last post on this blog and I will from now on, post on my new blog. I will keep this one open for just a little bit and then I will be deleting it {well, unless Google beats me to it again}.

The only thing I couldn't get was my comments to transfer over :( boo to that. But I was happy to see all my posts did so that was a win at least.

So I will miss blogging with Blogger. It has been all I know for so many years and numerous blogs I started and stopped. But it's time to say goodbye and move on to bigger and better things. So keep coming by for my Wordless Wednesday & That Friday Blog Hop Link Ups. Those will still be going on

My Blog Is Moving!!

My blog seriously took a turn for the worst last night as Google shut it down. See:

Not only did they shut my blog down. They also shutdown my Google + account and deleted my email {gmail account} which I was totally in love with. So because of all this, I've decided it's time to break up with Google for good. Not using them anymore for searches and not using their browser. They made me a little pissed off.

So because I finally was able to get my blog back up and running, I have decided enough is enough. My blog is moving now. I'm int he middle of getting a few things situated over at WordPress and will be hosting my blog through there. Once everything is up and running the way I want it, I'll post the new link and things.

It was just too much hassle with Google and everything. I had to get a new email address and so this will be a new experience for me to get to understand WP. I'm already a bit frustrated, but hopefully after playing around with it, I'll get the hang of it. So if there are any Wordpress experts out there that wouldn't mind some questions being thrown at them, let me know. I'm going to looking to bug someone for help :)

It’s been two weeks and so the weigh in begins again. Join up with so many others to participate in getting healthy and changing lives!

So, this past week wasn’t my greatest. I was doing fantastic not eating anything bad and then I did. There was some pizza, chinese and girl scout cookies. I’m so not proud and have beat myself up for it. The weight was coming off and then slowly crept back up then down then up….. its fucking depressing!

So I’m getting back. Still watching the calories, still trying to get in some exercise. I worked out mad hard at the gym Saturday. It felt amazing too. We are talking about canceling our gym membership and just buying a really good treadmill. I think it would be better. The I could workout anytime and not be disappointed and miss going to the gym because they are closed or the child care hours are not in operation. So it would help a lot. I think we are.

So not much of a loss. But not too shabby for just seven weeks either. I’m still disappointed in myself and need to try and drop four more pounds by the next link up I do.

It’s another week with another Wordless Wednesday posting!

Today I’m sharing photos of the cupcakes my husband made {yes, he couldn’t wait for me} for our daughter’s Valentine Day party at school. If you read my last post, you would know I was totally excited about making these. He beat me to it. But I’m glad him and our daughter had a blast helping him.

After I got home from work, I got to put the hearts on them at least. But they are made from scratch. The icing too. We do the long way and it’s more fun and tastes better too. He found this great buttercream recipe and decided to try it. Tasted pretty good. Very very sugary!

♥ Just Being Mom ♥

Today was a typical Sunday morning in our house. Woke up and me and the husband had a fight {it’s becoming a daily ritual now} and that took my hormones and emotions off the charts. Damn PMS. I don’t like when you turn me into an emotionally crazy bitch. Yea, it never fails. Wish I could control that shit more.
So I got up and immediately started doing laundry. Still crying and still being moody. My daughter and my husband just know to sit back and pretty much laugh at me. They say I make the “ugly” cry face. I just walk around with that face with tears pouring because one little emotion sparks huge effects. Like I said, damn PMS.
After I was finally done with my rant and tears, I just started cleaning. I only really like to clean when I’m mad. It just pushes me for some reason. The husband can tell when I’m really upset because I just start cleaning like crazy.

So I cleaned and just went room to room and putting away all the laundry as the loads got done. He decided to take a five hour nap. So I felt bad trying to keep the little one busy while I tried to finish cleaning. I had her playing video games, watching Netflix, playing with toys, reading, helping me… she was not satisfied. The only thing this little girl wanted to do was ride her bike.
I told her since I was finishing up, I would take her outside to ride her bike. Sadly, when I went outside to get her bike it was freezing. We are talking like 40 degree weather. No way! Not for us. It was just in the 70’s and 80’s here. Florida never gets below 65 degrees hardly ever. but today, it was freezing. Funny how by the middle of this week, it will be back up to 85 as I just saw on the news. Damn bi-polar weather.

So I had to tell her it was far too cold to go ride bikes. She was upset and very sad of course. It’s all she has been wanting to do. I felt bad. So I told her I will take her shopping and she can use the gift card she got from Grandma & Grandpa for Valentine’s Day.
So we went to Walmart {that’s where the giftcard was to} and I promised her we would pick out a fun board game. So sadly, they hardly had anything for a selection. But I saw Chutes and Ladders and remember how much I loved it. So she agreed she wanted it and we got it.

I brought her home and we started playing it immediately. She was so excited and had a blast. We played two times and she beat me both times. Little stinker. I don’t know how that happened. I wasn’t even trying to let her win. So she is in love with this game. She kept wanting to play it over and over.
I’m all worn out of Chutes & Ladders. The game has re-vamped itself. It looks different the version I had as a kid. Of course, that was to be expected. Just looks strange to me now. But she loves it. And I’m glad she does.

And I’m excited because tomorrow when I get home from work, I’m going to be making cupcakes for her Valentine’s Day party at school on Tuesday. My husband just wanted to buy store bought ones. But I really wanted to do the fun, crafty mom thing I never get to do and make them myself. This will be so neat and fun. I’m overly excited about it.

I’ll have to stay up late making them but I think it’ll be worth it. I bought everything I need for them today and have an image in my mind of how I want them to look so I think I am set. I really wish I could have sat and baked them and decorated them all today. However, they wouldn’t be so fresh for the party. I’ll post pictures of them once I get to baking them! So I was happy to be able to do the “mom” thing and have a fun game afternoon with my daughter and glad she enjoyed it. I sometimes miss being able to do simple things like that because I’m so busy with everything else. I’m at work 10 hours a day so it doesn’t make a lot of room for “mommy & me” time. So I’m glad to get it in whenever I can.

I’ve been seeing this a lot on some blogs and love the idea. Just randomly writing down the stupid shit men say sometimes to us. My husband and I have a love/hate relationship. We hate each other as much as we love each other. I guess it works, right? So far it has.

So anyway, today I went to the gym this morning and worked out pretty hard. I was looking kinda rough when I got home. Somewhat sweaty, smelly, dirty clothes, hair a mess, tired, hungry, hurting…etc…..

So he decides he wants me to run all over to look for some pig feet {OMFG barf gag, squeal ick} …

Me: Seriously? Why can’t you go?

Him: I’m stinky. You can go.

Me: I’m worse, I just sweated my ass off on a treadmill.

Him: But you are dressed and look fine.

Me: No. I need a shower.

Him: Please? You can go out. You look good enough to buy pig feet. You aren’t trying to impress anyone anyway.

Me: You really know how to sweet talk a lady, don’t ya?

SERIOUSLY? I look good enough to grab some gross pig feet. Obviously people would want to run and stay clear from my gym smelly sweat odor. Gross. I guess you don’t have to look pretty to go buy pig feet.

Just, ugh…… most days he just makes me want to stick a crayon in his eye. I don’t know what goes through his head sometimes.

Men…enough said. Pig feet…. still can’t stop thinking of how gross it looked. I guess he could have said worse, but I just thought what girl wants to hear she looks good enough to run out and buy some nasty pig feet? Not romantic at all.

♥ Do You Know Your Family History? ♥

Back when I was in sixth grade, we had to do a family history report. I never thought about it before then. But ever since I had found out about where my family came from and who they were, it was a fascination I have had ever since.

The funny thing is every little girl growing up thinks she is a princess. I know I always did. Little did I know that yes, in fact it were true. Long ago back in the time of the medieval ages, my ancestors on my father’s side were of noble and royal blood. Our family dates back to the Dutch royals. I had such an uncommon last name being American and hated how everyone mispronounced it.

When we were stationed in Germany {where I grew up and spent my childhood} we visited my dad’s home land of Holland. My dad has very strong Dutch in his features and 75% blood. While we were there, we found our family members names and our last name engraved in castle walls, and churches and it was very interesting indeed.

After having to interview my grandparents about our family history it was true. My dad’s, grandfather came from Holland and then changed the name slightly to what my dad’s last name {my maiden name} is now to be more “Americanized”. I always thought that fascinating because I can say deep down I really am a princess. And of course, everyone knows Holland for their four biggest things:

Windmills
Beautiful Tulips
Wooden Clogs
Amazing Cheese

And my other 25% of heritage on my dad’s side is Native American through his mothers side. Although I cannot remember the exact tribe at this time. But I know that’s where I get my tanned skin from {which I love}. I wish I could find out more information about that part of my dad’s family.

On my mother’s side, we are Polish & Russian. My grandmother told me so much information about this side of the family. Back during the early 1900’s when the civil war in Russia broke out against the Czar, relatives from my mom’s side tried to escape Russia and by doing so, they had to change their last name to a Greek name to not be caught.They fled to America with a new name {which was my Grandmother’s maiden name} and a new life.

That was my grandmother’s father. My grandmother’s mother was Polish and very Catholic. I do not know too much about my Polish heritage. I’m saddened by that. I need to speak to my grandmother again to see if I can get more information about it before she passes away. She told me once, but I have long forgotten anything that was of high importance.

It seems like I know two of my ancestry backgrounds so well and two I’m uneducated in. I need to find out before it starts to disappear and no one remembers.

Do you know your family background well? I find it very cool to see where we come from and who we are. Just one of those things I love finding out about myself.

Here is her story and why she is asking for everyone’s help

Last year I was asked why I relay...

I really had to think about that, do a lot of deep soul searching.

I relay for research. Plain and simple.

My cousin lost her battle with Acute myeloid leukemia the year she turned 16, but she was also a part of something huge.....She was involved in a clinical trial of Gleevec in kids, Gleevec saves so many lives now. She got it....

My dad, when he got his Terminal diagnosis, did he lay down and die??
Absolutely not. He enrolled in a Clinical trial for a drug that was supposed to shrink tumors.... and it did for a while. He continued to hope and fight. My dad got it......

Now I come back to why I relay... What these to amazing fighters taught me, without research nothing will change.

Every cancer will be just as deadly, just as nasty,

So maybe i will use my misfortune and loss
to help someone else not have it quite so bad.... I will give unto others,
myself. I relay to honor the ones who gave their bodies to help others
even when it may not have helped themselves,

♥ Make Your Own Word Find ♥

So I felt like posting something a bit fun and creative. Since I like to be creative and yet, never seem to have the time anymore…I still like to think of things to come up with and share my findings.

A few years back when I was planning my wedding, I came across some really cute ideas. If you are a bride-to-be, I very much recommend checking out Wedding By Color. This site was my life. It is highly addicting and you find the most creative and great ideas used in weddings by real brides in the color theme you choose. I love it! I even still go back from time to time to look at everything people are doing or ideas they have come up with the share.

One thing on there I remember seeing was a Wedding Word Find. I thought this was a great idea because it would either fit perfectly in your programs or on a fan for guests to do while seated before the wedding or after during the reception or any other down time.

Or if not at the wedding, it would be perfect for a bridal shower/bachelorette party game. And the great part is, you can customize it to anything you want. Fill in any words for your friends, family, guests to locate about you and your sweetheart. Clever!

So I did a very generic one as an example from this site:

Simple enough. Then you just place them into a photo editing program to give it a personal touch, print it out and you have a great easy way to entertain guests.

Not only is is a great wedding idea, but this would work for pretty much every occasion. Birthday parties would probably be a big smash. Baby showers as well. That would be really cute. And another idea too for the holidays could be word find wrapping paper:

I love this! So that’s my little fun find for the evening. I’m thinking if I have another child, I’ll do this for the baby shower and when my daughter gets into school more and her and her friends are reading, this would be perfect for her birthday parties!

♥ The Rant of Healthy Eating ♥

So I wanted to write a serious post because of some feelings that are really involved with it. And so since it bothered me so deeply, I figured I would write about it.

Now, most of you know, I decided to start this year off as a brand new me. Our little family has completely done a 360 and turned our eating habits and lifestyle around. I was tired of not being happy with the way I looked or felt. I missed the days of walking into a store and being able to buy out the size mediums and size 10 clothes and just know they would look cute on me without having to try them on.

Those days disappeared after I had my daughter. And now I want them back. And so we decided as a family to do this. We are now completely healthy eaters. And seriously, that means everything is homemade {including the juice}.

We have cut out the following:

Artificial preservative, sweeteners, flavors, etc
Almost all added sugars {only the ones that are in fruit I intake}
All fast food
Store bought juice
Nothing that needs to be microwaved or has been
Pretty much everything not good for you.

And we absolutely do not use anything containing aspartame in it. Its hard to find though with over 6000 products containing it, but we still find things we can eat. Things from chewing gum to yogurt to sugar free or fat free anything, even certain vitamins. I really encourage everyone who hasn’t looked into this to. Its extremely scary stuff and does so much damage to your body. We haven’t eaten anything with that in it for years now.

I’m also proud to say we also have not eaten anything that needs to go in a microwave for almost a year. Yup you heard me. If we need something heated or cooked, its only over an oven, stove or toaster oven. Microwave’s give off so much radiation over a lifetime that the BPA levels that rise when plastic is heated is scary as well. So we have eliminated that out of our diet.

Many people ask me how do we eat if we don’t have a microwave. The answer is simple. Either don’t eat it or heat it up on the stove. Like at work, most people bring a tv dinner or something. I just have a salad. No oven so I can’t heat up anything. Now, there is a toaster oven there and I have used that occasionally but I like the one we have here at home better.

So anyway, now that I have informed a little, I wanted to write why I feel so strongly about this. The other day, a person {who I thought was a friend} was talking to someone else and I overheard her say that people who choose to eat healthy and watch what they eat are PATHETIC. Now this hit a nerve. And sadly, I am a very sensitive person. Especially when someone I trust is talking s**t about me with me being right there. I’m sure she thought I didn’t overhear the conversation. But I don’t know how since I was five feet away from them.

So she went on and on claiming that these pathetic people should go get a hobby or start doing puzzles or something because obviously they have no life and sit around worrying about everything they eat and it’s sad and a waste. She goes on to say also eating healthy doesn’t do any good anyway. Everything will kill you so what's the point and she claims that just eating things in moderation is all you need to do instead of wasting all your money on food that is so called “good for you”.

Now, eating in moderation is ok. However, in her case, eating a candy bar a day is not moderation as she claims because it’s only once a day so its moderated. No. But it just kept getting to me so much that I started to cry because of all the hurtful things she said about being pathetic and it’s a waste of time and people who do this are stupid.

And that is what pissed me off because she knows I’m so proud of becoming a healthy eater. I went everyday eating fast food, drinking soda and stuff to being the most strict I have ever been on myself. Cutting it all out cold turkey and that’s hard to do. So knowing everyday I talk to her about my eating accomplishments and the weight I have lost and how great I feel, and then her going off and saying this stuff really hurt me bad. It was a long conversation too. And everything she was saying had me thinking this:

She is really jealous. That is where all this hatred is coming from

But you know what? I couldn’t help it. I still cried. When you trust someone who is supposed to be your friend and supportive to turn around and say you are pathetic is just wrong. It’s wrong! I would never do that to her. She’s mad because she tried to eat healthy and failed. She couldn’t have the self control or drive and now taking her anger out on me as if I’m the bad one.

And for some reason it bugs me so much. I think I’m done with friends and just sticking to the wonderful friends I have made on here who are supportive and don’t shut you down when you are doing something good. If she thinks it’s so pathetic, she could just keep her opinions to herself instead. That’s how I feel anyway. I don’t put her down for things she is doing I think or know is wrong, bad and stupid. So I thought I would get the same respect. The difference between me and her is, she is the one always doing something wrong, bad or stupid {which I could seriously write a novel on the things this chick has said or done} while I’m just trying to become a better me.

So I’m just going to keep on eating right, drinking right and let her watch in jealousy {and brag} as I start looking amazing while she is trying to figure out how I did it. So I don’t need negative people like that to talk to. I’ll just stay positive to myself. Others really try to bring you down because they fail and it’s not how people should be. Not friends anyway. I guess I should say EX-friend.

So if you missed my post last link up about my cool Ninja I’ve been using, you can view it here and all the pretty pictures I added.

I’ve been doing well with this. The last and only time I stuck to a strict weight loss plan was for my wedding to get into shape since I had just had a baby. I wanted a great body to look back on and I got it. Then I gained it all back. So my goal is to keep up and be motivated. So I know I can do it once again!

From the last time I linked up, it was this:

And the thing I find amazing with this is that I haven’t been to the gym at all. I have been wanting to go but haven’t yet. Don’t get me wrong. It’s not sue to laziness. I’m very motivated and love the gym. Just their child care hours suck and are not job-friendly. We are looking into another gym after this membership is up. One a bit closer and better hours. The only exercise I have been getting is from sex. Ok, maybe a little TMI but it’s true. It burns lots of calories.

So here is how I have been losing weight:

I have officially tomorrow been junk free for 30 days!

I have not had any soda what so ever
I have not had any caffeine what so ever
I have not had any fast food
I have not had sugar {I did sneak 3 cookies. That is it}
Have only drank homemade juice only and water
Been eating majority of fruits and veggies only. A few times a week some lean ground beef.

But I’m now on MyFitnessPal! I’ve done really good keeping up on here with tracking things. It’s pretty fun actually. Anyone else that has this should add me if they wish. Click the button below to become my friend :0)

I’m feeling great too. The headaches have stopped. The heaviness as well. I’m starting to feel lighter although I still don’t really feel a change in any of my clothes feeling looser on me. I think once I get around the 20 pound mark, I’ll really start to notice.

I have stayed under my calorie count everyday {except one day} and I noticed my stomach has become trained now for smaller meals. I get full faster and it knows not to beg for junk food.

So that’s about it. I think I’m doing good and motivating myself.

Oh happy day! The bitching is back and I'm so glad! One of the things I do best is bitch and complain. What can I say? Now shall we get on to it?

Shit I Hate.....Those people who tag you in photos on Facebook saying "Please vote for my child for such & such contest". Seriously? Bitch, if I wanted to vote for your kid to look weird, I would have already. Don't need to tag me in this shit and post it all over my wall. Geez...

Shit I Hate.....Those other people on Facebook who say "Yea, I own five purses and four of them are Coach. I'm pathetic and need to shop more." Ugghhhh.....Now, while I am a Coach WHORE! I love Coach bags, I do own one myself, please don't throw out either how much money you have by saying you need to buy more over priced purses. And two, don't make it sound like people should feel sorry for you about only owning four. Geez...

Shit I Hate.....That it's Sunday. You know why? Because that means I have to go back to work tomorrow with a few retarded assholes. Yup, I love my job, but the people....well....there are only about 2 I can think of that are cool.

Shit I Hate.....*a bit on the really personal side* When I get so depressed thinking I can't make my husband happy. I cry and feel like total shit and a failure and I hate that. Why am I beating myself up for it? It gets to me and gets to me hard. And from what he says, it's all in my head. I'm really not as much as a fuck up as I think I am. But I still can't help get in that slump most days.

Shit I Hate.....You know, it has been two and a half years since we have had more then 15 mins alone together {the husband & I}? I really hate that shit. A fucking date night would be the best. Especially with the way I have been feeling lately. Too bad we don't believe in babysitters. That bites me in the ass most of the time.

Shit I Hate.....Stupid stupid stupid people. I cannot stress this enough. Some people are so ignorant or so closed-minded or mis-informed. I just want to shake them upside down and beat them. At least beat some sense into them.

Shit I Hate.....Still haven't been able to get that new iPhone case I wanted. Can't wait for a bit of extra cash to buy something for me!

Shit I Hate.....That taxes seem so long to get here. I want my money now dammit. I'm broke. I need money! Give me my money. That is all

Then she sent me a screen shot and we figured it out.

♥ The Three Year Mark ♥

Can you believe it? We finally hit the third year mark today.

Today is our three year wedding anniversary!

It’s a big deal because our relationship has been through so much. I think a lot more then most people I know. So it’s quite an accomplishment we have been able to get through everything that has been the ups and downs of being a couple.

The background on us {if you were interested}

We met in 2001 my freshman year of college. And that same night felt that connection that even when we tried to break things off, it never worked. We have been attracted so hard ever since. That means we have now be together for over 10 years. Man, time flies.

But at this three year mark in our lives, we are both happy and loving our life together. We have a beautiful daughter and hoping that one day soon, our family will grow more.

Our wedding was held on January 24th, 2009 in Orlando, Florida at Leu Gardens which was amazing and beautiful. It was like we had the entire place to ourselves that day wandering the gardens taking photos.

The weather was perfect wedding weather. 70 degrees and warm and sunny. The ceremony started at 2:00pm and the reception began at 5:45pm

I wore a stunning Maggie Sottero gown that I had a custom-made Marie Antoinette style bustle in the back.

We had a smaller wedding and it still seemed wonderful. Only our family and closest friends were invited. I handmade almost everything I could to make it more fun and personal. Things I either did not have time to make or didn’t know how, I bought off Etsy. Our colors were black & ivory {no accent color} and our theme was monogram [RHR}.

Things all seemed to go in order that day. My dad walked me down the aisle as our friend & musician played on guitar Bryan Adams {Everything I Do, I Do It For You}. The one song I always knew I would have played at my wedding.

So I’m making this a photo party and adding some photos from that day! Enjoy!! It’s like photo vomit right now. You have been warned!

So here’s to many more happy years together!

It's so hard to imagine what winter feels like anymore. I have been living in Florida since I moved down here back in 2001 to start college and have been here ever since. I love the tropical weather and that there are only two seasons. Spring and Summer.
This week has been so flippin' hot out. Its funny when I look at my friends pictures on facebook from back home and see tons of snow on the ground or how people saying how freezing it is. We have our air conditioner on right now. It got to 80 degrees today and everyone is outside in the pool trying to keep cool from the heat.
I forget it's actually winter in other parts of the world. I don't remember what winter feels like anymore. Here is our forecast for the week:

This is pretty normal for the winter season as well. It starts really feeling more cooler in February. However, we had a few days of cold weather where it was very cold but just maybe 4 days out of the year. So not exactly freezing it up like most of the country.

So I know most of you know I have talked about being an artist and everything but I never post any of my work. Well, I decided to tonight. I’ve been doing more graphic work, but this is some work from school that I had done.

I want you all to know, these were drawn from life. Real models sat in front of me as I drew them. They are 8-12 hour poses where the model stayed in the same pose. These are just a few. I have worked in all mediums such as oils, pastels, watercolor, digital, pen & ink, conte, acrylic, gouache, and many others.

These pieces are done on colored paper with conte crayon and pastel pencil.

In case you did not know, I am a trained artist. Graduated from Ringling College of Art & Design with a BFA in Illustration. I almost minored in photography but did not end up going with a minor.

I am now doing more digital work as a graphic designer and artist at my current job. I love the traditional arts but have made a new found love with digital arts as well.

I have done many self portraits and used to pride myself on my celebrity portraits. However, I have not done one of those in years.

When I paint, I like to paint big. No less then 5 foot paintings hang on the walls. Even though I love drawing and painting all types of subject matters, portraits are my favorite. I think that would explain the many self portraits I have done.

So many of you wonderful people know, I just switched up my blog and changed it’s name. So what a perfect topic to write about since this blog name is only a few weeks old.

Let Them Eat Cake

The name inspired by Marie Antoinette. Although, she was never quoted saying this phrase {yet is famous for this. How does that work?}

Marie Antoinette is a great obsession and iconic figure to me. I’m marveled by her and spend countless hours researching and becoming trapped up in the 1700’s French society.

So naturally, with her as an idol, Let Them Eat Cake just seemed to fit right with me. It’s all about a little of this and a little of that.

Well, I have been doing pretty well. I lost just 10 pounds in seven days and now my weight is fluctuating a bit. So that kind of stinks. It goes up a few pounds, down a few. Although I’m still sticking to mostly the exact same thing everyday for meals and drinks.

So from the last time I linked up, it was this:

So I’m getting there. That first week though the pounds were popping off and now…hmmm it’s a bit stuck. But seven pounds down isn’t bad considering I’m not being as active lately. Can’t seem to get home from work early enough to make it to the gym before they close and I have a desk job so I sit for ten hours a day at work.

I have been usually eating:

Grapes for breakfast
Salad for lunch
Salad for dinner {the past two nights it has been some steak}
And lots of water or homemade juice we made ourselves

But I’m now on MyFitnessPal! I’ve done really good keeping up on here with tracking things. It’s pretty fun actually. Anyone else that has this should add me if they wish. Click the button below to become my friend :0)

Some exciting health food news! Our Ninja finally arrived!!!!! Totally been waiting for this and the UPS guy finally knocked on the door with my awesome new toy. We tried it out and it’s totally amazing. It really does turn ice into snow as they say in their commercial.

We made Tropical Smoothie’s Cranberry Cove Smoothie from scratch and tastes AMAZING! It was always mine and my husband’s favorite smoothie from there and now we can have it without spending then money nor using the sugar they do.

Added the strawberries and juiced some cranberries

Juice is made and added a banana with the strawberries

Then in goes some honey & the cranberry juice we juiced earlier & ice to top it off

Then the husband pushed blend and the Ninja did its magic and made a perfect smoothie from top to bottom with an absolute perfect blend of everything! Genius machine I tell ya. We threw our old blender away. This is 1000 times better

Songs Played At Your Wedding Dance

Now, granted we had a beautiful wedding, but we didn’t do the traditional dancing because my husband was against it. So I’m linking up the songs that we had played while walking down the aisle.

We got married in a butterfly garden on January 24, 2009 here in sunny Orlando, Florida. It was 70 degrees that day & perfect.

So I decided to have two songs playing. My friend is a musician and was kind enough to play at our wedding acoustically on his guitar these two songs {which sounded beautiful}. One was a pre-ceremony song and while the girls started walking down the aisle. That one was:

And the next one was when I walked down the aisle. This had been my favorite song since I was a little girl and knew I would want it played on my wedding day.

21. Did you go to your high school prom?
Yes. It was last minute. I wasn’t going to because I didn’t have a date, but I was talked in by a bunch of friends and we all went as a group. So my mom and me went the day of prom to buy everything. It was a madhouse getting ready.

22. Perfect time to wake up?
I would say whenever my body just wakes up naturally. However, that never happens anymore. I miss those days to sleep in and get up when I just want to.

23. Perfect time to go to bed?
I need to start going to bed early but I always seem to around midnight or 1:00am. So I would just say anytime where I won’t be dead ass tired in the morning for work.

24. Do you use your queen right away in chess?
Seeing as how the only time I ever played was when I was around 10 years old and it was on the computer, I don’t know even how to answer.

25. Ever been in a car accident?
Yes I have. Twice. Neither one while I was driving though. One when I was about 13 with my mom and brother. The other last February with my husband and daughter. neither one very serious though. The one with my mom was worse then the one with my husband. But no one was hurt in either.

26. Closer to mom or dad..or neither?
My mom and dad still are together and they live 1000 miles away from me. I really wish it wasn’t that way. I wish they lived right next door to me.

27. What age is this exciting life over for you?
Hmmm……seeing as I feel I would love to live a very long life, I’m hoping I get to see the age of 100. However, I gave up my youth and fun times out and partying and hanging out with friends back in 2006. So I would say all the exciting things left my world at age 24.

28. What decade during the 20th century would you have chosen to be a teenager?
I really don’t know. My favorite decade was the 90’s so you know what? I was a teenager back in the late 90’s. I guess I’m just gonna say I would stick with then. I liked it enough. Any other decade seemed to have too many things I don’t think I could deal with.

29. Favorite shoes you ever owned?
You know, I owned these shoes called “Funky Chunky” and adored them as a teenager. They were really high platform chunky shoes that were open-toed strappy sandal types. I wore them with every single thing.

30. Do you have an article of clothing you have had since you were in high school?
Oh yes. Many many outfits, and dresses and shoes. Not that I can wear any of them. mostly on the pajamas now. But I still have everything.

31. Were you in track and field?
Nope. But I was on the Lacrosse team.

32. Were you ever in a school talent show?
Yes I was. I was in every talent show through out all my school days. I lived for that type of thing.

33. Have you ever written in a library book?
I honestly don’t think I ever did.

34. Allergic to?
Just bullshit. True. I have told people for the longest that I am allergic to milk only so they stop forcing me to drink the crap but I’m really not.

35. Favorite fruit?
Blackberries

So my photo for this week is an older one. In fact, it’s five years old. But oh well, I love it. Not only does it capture two precious things to me, I completely love this shot as well.

This photo was one of my favorites because Ariebelle did not like Natalya for anything. She was terrified of her and I could not ever get her to go near the baby what-so-ever. So I found Ariebelle asleep one day and put Natty next to her and they both were asleep together. I had to document the moment because I knew I would never get this chance again. And I never did. I loved the way this turned out. Straight out of the camera too.

♥ A New Milestone In This Little Life ♥

Tonight, marked another milestone for my daughter. To my surprise, I came home from work to see that she had lost her first tooth. Yup, her first baby tooth has fallen out. Its on of the front bottom teeth.

She is five and the dentist at our last appointment said it was loose and getting ready to come out. And sure enough, it was gone. Freaks me out a bit. I don’t do good at all with these types of things. In fact, I started gagging and almost puked while my husband terrorized me with the tooth that was sitting on the counter.

So the freaky thing is, the permanent tooth is already coming in and you can see it sticking out. Gross. But I guess at least it doesn’t look that major of a hole. We have to go back to the dentist in two weeks so I will ask if everything is normal with it. If it’s growing in right and stuff.

I just don’t remember being this young and losing my teeth. Not at 5 years old. I feel I was so much older. But maybe not.

But it is scary and exciting at the same time. And the funny thing about the entire situation is what she said to the both of us.

“The tooth fairy better bring me fifty bucks”

HAHAHAHAHA yea right kid. No, in fact, I figured out how to get that fifty bucks under her pillow. Pull out the Monopoly game and there ya go. She can have all the money her little heart desires. LOL

Alright alright, I gave in and attempted the first time at vlogging. Please, go easy on me people. I was trying to figure everything out and my child wanted the spotlight and I had no idea what to say. Then I started of thinking of things to say and then…well, you’ll see

I was tired and really really nervous... could you tell? I felt like I was doing something wrong...hahaha anyway, hopefully the next time I attempt this, it will go a bit better. But seriously, I had like so much more footage that during the editing, I seem to have deleted and well, couldn't get it back. It was mostly my daughter talking about how wonderful I am and I work hard and we have a cat...haha Oh and how she gets in trouble when daddy's watching her.

Having her in the video was not planned. I actually started out talking about the subject of driving and then she jumped in and I hit the wrong button, lost what I recorded and so this is the end result of a disaster. But hey, at least I only wasted 2 minutes of your life, right? :0)

♥ A New Transformation ♥

Well, I went and did it again. I changed up my entire blog {again}. It looks as though a pink fluffy monster came and threw up all over my blog. Its so totally PINK! For some, I'm sure you are disgusted. But I needed a change. I already did my first favorite color.
Remember the little yellow bee flying around? And I up and changed the name!!!!!
It's no longer "From Mommy to Calm Insanity" but now "Let Them Eat Cake".
I pretty much have things down. I may go and change some stuff later. I've been sitting at this computer way too long now and exhausted. It's 1:30am now. Yea....Been here for a while. But for the most part, I am pleased with the results.
I added some new buttons. Check them out and grab one that tickles your fancy! I will still leave my Friday Blog Hop button the same though and my Wordless Wednesday button. I also re-did my "About Me" page too! Very exciting...lol

My morning is six words are:

Woke Up Too Late For Gym

Yes, it sucks. I wanted to go to the gym this morning but woke up too late and of course, it’s too late to go. I hate the gym’s child care hours. If they would actually apply them to a normal human beings schedule, I would be able to make it.

I hate not being able to go because the child care is closing there but the gym still remains open for hours and hours still.

They only have it open on the weekends from 8am-12pm. Its now 10:15am. By the time I get myself ready, my child ready and eat something, then get in the car to drive the 30 mins there, well, it will be like 11:30am. Not leaving any time worth going to work out to have to turn around in 30 mins to drive back home for 30 mins.

Yea, that sucks. But the gym closes at 9pm tonight. So WTF… they need to have the childcare run at least to 2pm or something. That would be ideal for most people.

Anyway, that’s my six words and some bitching. Hope you enjoyed :)

So before I got pregnant back in 2005, I had a rockin’ awesome body. I never owned a real shirt. Every shirt I owned my mom called a “washcloth” shirt because they were all the size and covered as much as a washcloth.

I could wear anything and everything and knew I looked great in it. I weighed 145 pounds back then. Once I got pregnant, I stayed very fit and healthy through my pregnancy. Although I started gaining a lot of weight, it never showed other then my belly.

Once my baby was born, I had some pounds but then I worked out to lose it all and lost 30 pounds for my wedding. Now, I have gained it all back and weigh the biggest I have been in my life and it is depressing most time.

Here is probably the only full body photo you will see of me because I am very uncomfortable with my weight now. I like only taking face shots now. This was taken last week.

So I am determined to get back down to my pre-baby weight again of 145. But 150 is more ideal to me at the moment. Heck, I’d even be happy with 160.

So we have decided to become an all healthy family. Eating no more foods that contain sugar {except for things like fruits that have natural sugars in them. No more caffeine and no more anything bad period.

So I am on day two and I have not had any sugar at all {except for the sugar in a strawberry}

I have been eating salads and we have started making all of our own juice from scratch with no sugar added. So far, in two days I have lost 3 pounds and I’m hoping within one month, I see a good result from this. All healthy and nothing artificial or preservative. Nothing that says diet or sugar free. Just good old fruits and veggies and all the other healthy stuff.

So this is my goal to lose:

I have seen two doctors and they both agree I am on the verge of being obese and need to loose weight right away for the sake of my health. I was also told this is the reason why I cannot get pregnant again. We have been trying for almost three years and all the doctors have told me it was because I am too fat and need to drop at least 30 pounds to become pregnant. I don’t think that’s true because I have seen so much bigger girls pregnant. So I don’t know why they think I’m too fat to have another baby.

But I am still under 200 pounds so I think that’s a good thing at least. but I need to hit that 150 mark and I will be happy.

So, we have decided that this year, we are going back to healthy. We used to both be in the top notch shape, but now, over the years, things have been not so healthy.

For me, it seems like ever since I had my daughter, I could never get my body back. I got close one year and then packed on the pounds like you wouldn’t believe. I never had a problem before. I could eat and do whatever I wanted and never gained an ounce, now…. well, I think my body hates me LOL

So we decided to buy late Christmas presents now for us as a family and become nothing but healthy. So today I purchased the following:

The Ninja

I have been wanted this product for a long time. Sadly, they were sold out in the store so I ordered it online and it should be here by the end of the week. We are all totally excited about this one!

SodaStream

This is another one I am super excited about. I absolutely love drinking mineral water so this will be amazing for me to do it without it being so damn expensive from buying the Perrier bottles from the stores. Sadly, this one too was all sold out at the store today so I had to order it online. Looks like it won’t be arriving for two weeks. Blah

Jack LaLanne Juicer

This one they actually had at the store so I was lucky enough to be able to bring it home today. My husband really wanted this toy. He was so excited and didn’t stop using it all day. Him and our daughter made homemade fresh squeezed strawberry lemonade from scratch. It tastes so good! They used one whole bag of lemons and a few strawberries and juiced them together and its tastes so clean and fresh. We are now going to be making all our drinks from now on. No more store bought juice.

It really juiced it down fine and we were able to take the strawberry pulp and make sorbet. How cool is that? So we froze it to eat and a great healthy snack and we used everything from all the fruits. Nothing went to waste.

I am so excited for the other products to arrive to give them a whirl!

Eleven Random Things About Myself

I cannot drink out of the same cup twice. Once I’m done with my beverage, I need to go get a new cup
When I eat, I have to start with one thing on my plate. I cannot eat anything else until that one thing is finished. I shutter when I watch someone grab some mashed potatoes, then eat a bite of corn, then some meatloaf. I have to do each one separate.
When I get nervous or bored, I pick at my fingers nails, eventually ripping them off. I however, don’t bite my nails
I used to really believe I was Anne Frank reincarnated. I had a strong connection that I felt was so strong, there was no other explanation. Strange things used to occur that I could not explain.
I really only enjoy driving when I’m angry. It tends to relieve my frustrations better then other methods.
I drive almost 100 miles a day to and from work. That’s almost 500 miles each week. That’s a lot of gas, miles and oil changes, let me tell ya.
People have always made fun of the way I say the word “roof”. I pronounce it “ruff”. Yes, like a damn dog barking.
I have never tasted coffee. Nope not of any kind. Hot or frozen. Not even coffee ice cream either.
We have not unpacked anything hardly in over seven years. Because we tend to move almost every year, there is no point to unpack then have to box it all back up again. One day I cannot wait to go through everything to see what I have had all these years that has gone forgotten.
Growing up, I lived next to a castle that we would walk to everyday in the summers. Normal children go to forts and historical war memorials or caves on field trips. We toured castles and concentration camps.
I have a lot of trouble finishing projects that I start. I leave a lot of things unfinished which makes for lots of crap in boxes stored away for a rainy day which will never come.

1. What is your favorite midnight snack?You know, its not really a snack, but I would have to say Dr. Pepper

2. If you could go anywhere right now, where would you go?I would run away to Hawaii. Just pack up and go with my family.

3. What is your favorite movie from your childhood?This is a hard one because I loved so many. But I think my absolute favorite had to be Care Bears 2: The New Generation. I used to cry at how happy the ending was. Yes, this was when I was little, I couldn’t help it. But I had it completely memorized.

4. Do you have any tattoos, and if not do you want to get one?I do not have any tattoos nor have I ever had anything pierced in my life. However, if I ever were to get a tattoo, I wanted to have one of an Ankh placed somewhere, just don’t know where that spot would be yet.

5. What is one food that you will not eat under any circumstances?You are asking the wrong person. What will I eat is more like it. But if I had to choose one thing off the top of my head, I would say seafood. I will not go near anything that is fishy or seafood-ish at all. Real or imitation. Yuck

6. Current obsession?I am completely obsessed with The Tudors and Marie Antoinette. I cannot get enough of either one and keep researching more and more about them. It completely fascinating to me.

7. Favorite smell?I really love the smell of cookies. Like the Bath & Body Works room spray Sugar Cookies or their Warm Vanilla Sugar scent.

8. Something that gives you the giggles every time you see itThe website Worst Stuff Ever. Has me cracking up for hours. I love it.

9. What is your favorite flavor of ice cream?Chocolate. Love the stuff

10. What is your favorite brand of lingerie?I think I buy the most stuff from Victoria’s Secret. I like a lot of their stuff.

11. Are you wearing shoes right now?No, we don’t allow shoes in the house

Hello Lovelies! My first official post for the new year. Happy 2012. Its going to be a crazy year for this world and hopefully, we make it out to the end. Through the good and the bad.

Things to look forward to this year coming up:

Our three year wedding anniversary. Most days I don’t know how we made it this far. But we have been together for ten years now.
I turn the big 3-0 {oh my goodness. Seriously?}
My daughter will be entering kindergarten and leaving private school to go to public. That should be very interesting.
Our daughter will be turning six. Time is flying by now with her.
This will mark five years at my job. I’m hoping this will be the year they finally give in and hand out some raises. Would be great if they did. Fingers crossed.

So starting off the New Year with a new post, because of turning things around for the new year, I think I am going to say goodbye and retire for a while my “The Buzz About Me” link-ups. I just seem to get too behind on it and then have such a hard time coming up with questions for a weekly thing. I’d hate to say goodbye to it forever, but for now, I think it will retire away in the vault for a little bit.

However, I would like to replace it with something else that doesn’t require me to gather up so much questions and thought, ya know? You can’t blame me. Sometimes, it takes a lot to figure out what I’m gonna put especially when its been a long day at work for me already.

So I was thinking of participating in a Wordless Wednesday link-up because it seems everyone loves to participate in those and it’s easy and fun. So I think I will do something like that.

Anyway, that does it for now for anything new happening. Still going to get my Friday blog hop back up and going even though I tend to miss those every now and then. But you know, it is what it is! The holidays are hectic even when you are relaxing.

♥ The Weather Outside Is... ♥

The weather outside is frightful, but the fire is so delightful

But since we have no place to go, let it sno…….WAIT! What?

Not here anyway. While the rest of the county is dealing with cold degrees and snow, ice, wind,and rain, it is nothing like that here. The weather outside is frightfully HOT! Humid and almost unbearable to be outside. I have been trying hard to not have to turn on the AC. The wind hasn’t blown at all and it hasn’t gotten much cooler.

It got to 84 degrees today. It is going to be a very warm Christmas. We went to the mall today and everyone was in there sweating their balls off. We had to buy some more shorts for our daughter because it’s just too hot out to put her in pants. Everyone was also out by the pool today too. I was going to go, but just too exhausted to get out there.

We are spending Christmas Eve at LegoLand tomorrow and hopefully it’s just a bit cooler outside then it was today.

Hope everyone has a wonderful holiday and hopefully staying warm while us down here will be trying to stay cool. While you all are drinking hot chocolate and snuggled up in your sweaters, we are having iced drinks and wearing tank tops :)

Well, some of you know that my husband creates video games. Sadly, at the moment, he has been out of work but back from June 2009-June 2010, he was located to Texas while I stayed in Florida to work on the highly anticipated

Almost everyone has heard of this game and from people I have spoke to, have been waiting years for it’s release. Well guess what? It was just finally released today.

This makes my husband’s third game release title under his belt. The other two games he worked on were both for EA were

I’m proud of him. He worked many long hours at BioWare being the level/world builder for the game. We spent an entire year apart just so that he could be there doing what he loves. This game has such high anticipation and so many fans. Its been so long in the making and it has been finally released today. You can visit the official website for the game HERE

So it’s my blogoversary which means it’s my blog’s 1st birthday! Happy birthday to you. happy birthday to you.

So it seems that one year ago today I signed up and registered this name with blogger not knowing at all what I was going to be getting myself into. I have had numerous blogs in the past which I have started then deleted and so on. I would be inspired at first, then lose interest and let them go. But this one was different.

I created it today on December 19th, 2010 and actually didn’t have a blog post until January. I basically took that time to figure out what blogging really was and the fun of it and trying to design and create my own blog template and layout. 1. Do you like your middle name or are you embarrassed by it?
I kinda of hate my middle name. Its so very country and people always use it to make fun of me. It could be worse, but still, its a little too country farm girl for my liking.

2. Have you ever seen a white Christmas?
Yes, when I was younger and into my high school years. But ever since moving to Florida, we don't see any white Christmas' however, its pretty much a sandy beach Christmas

3. Looking back, have you accomplished what you wanted to in life up to this point?
For the most part, I feel I have. I graduated from High School with high grades and lots of awards. Moved on and graduated from college that was a college that made my mom proud for me to attend. I am working in my field as an artist and map maker. I am married and have a child.
However, I wish we were more financially independent. I'm sure 90% of people are struggling with this right now. That is one thing I hate and I thought I could at least have been famous and a billionaire right now too! Other than that, yes, life has been ok so far.

4. Do you prefer baking or cooking
Hands down baking! I can't cook for anything and absolutely hate it. But I love baking and super good at it. I even have my own famous brownie recipe I use.

5. What's the website you think you spend the most time on?
I would have to say it would be Facebook. I love the games and just catching up with friends. Its pretty addicting.

So, throughout the beginning of time, people have come up with ways to make their facial expressions appeal to certain people. And ever since the sultry look was formed, so has evolved “The Duckface”.

Yes, the infamous duckface expression that never fails {especially among the young girls attempting hard to look cute and sexy}. Sadly, the majority of girls have done this face at some point to show they are “The Sexy One”. Some do it well. Some, shame rises upon their families from their hideous faces that seem to sometimes broaden when the duckface is preformed. Let’s take a look, shall we?

The person who is most face for making the infamous “Duckface” is…..

1. Tomorrow I’m going to…..
Sadly, I have to get up and head to work for a fun filled 9 hour work day {that’s a whole lot of sarcasm going on right there folks} Its not fun filled. Just lots of stress and lots of deadlines I have to meet. Blah!

2. Pudding or Jello…..
I don’t have a problem with either. I grew up loving both. but if I would have to say which one I preferred over the other, I would say it would have to be jello.

3. What book are you currently reading…..
Uh yea… ummmm…..I don’t like to read…so yea…nothing. I think the last time I actually picked up a book I wnted to read was over ten years ago.

4. What is the first concert you went to see…..
It was back in May of 1993. I was 11 years old and I went and saw Cher in Manheim, Germany with some neighbors who took me. Yes, the Cher! The concert was phenomenal. I will never forget it. I even got autographs from the band players as well and stood right next to the stage loving every minute of it

5. What is your current weather…..
Here is the 5 day forecast for this week

As you can see, it will be another warm week. In the upper 70’s which means we will probably be hitting 80 again and the humidity will probably be sucking, yet again. But it will be rainy so that may keep it from being so humid for the time being

♥ What’s UpSeXy ♥

Ok, so tonight or early morning.. whichever you choose to think. Its 2:21am here and I’m just still up. The child is asleep and the husband is upstairs watching his tv and crap and so I decided since I didn’t feel tired, I would scope out some blogs.

Now, this is awesome. I found this while stalking around on Liz’s blog and couldn’t stop laughing. Although she was very creative with the multiple people she got, I decided why not just try it for myself. So I did and the victim was my husband. You can read her post here. It is hilarious!

So I went for it and here is the original idea that got it started from damnfunnytexts.com and seems to be blowing up around blogging because it has spun into a domino effect making it totally hilarious.

So here is mine and the husband’s conversation from just now:

hahaha as you can tell, he was not amused and came out of the bedroom upstairs to ask me what the hell is wrong with me…lol…he thinks I’m truly retarded now. Oh well. I think its awesome to the 1000% extreme.

I always thought these ideas were super cute, yet never made them myself but actually really would love to. Now if I just had friends around here to give them to. Shipping them off to everyone else I know would cost too much. But they are a super cute idea, in my opinion. I just think its cute. I saw they have books on making these as well. How freakin’ cute.

Cookies in a jar all dressed up and decorated is something I could do. In fact, I think I would enjoy it. Has anyone done these before? I think when I was little my mom used to make these for people. I think its all too about how you dress the jar up. All cute and decorative.

What I love is you can do this for every occasion. Any holidays and celebrations that come along.

♥ Turn Your Blog Into An App ♥

Ok, so today I found out something really cool. So I’m really a dork and get totally excited when I find something new out with my phone. My phone is my other half. I love it to death and can’t see myself living without it. Oh phone, how I love thee. Yea, I don’t see how my life was ever complete without it.

Ok, so now the crazy mushy stuff is out of the way……………

I figured out how to turn my blog into an app. Now how totally awesome is that? And the sad part is…..it was totally freakin so easy I don’t see how I never figured it out before. This actually works for any site/page you want to make an app shortcut for. Be aware, this is totally simple and I’m sure there are more “tech-savy” ways to go about this to make it perfect. My way is the “I only have 60 seconds so hurry up bitch” way. And its for the iPhone. I’m sure there has to be a similar way for other phones. I just don’t know them.

Step 1

Open Safari on your phone & search for the site you wish to add as an app

Step 2

Once you have the page opened, click on the middle button at the bottom with a square and arrow & then choose the Add To Home Screen tab

Step 3

A screen will appear and then just type in what you want it named and then Presto, the app is added for easy access to any site you choose. If you want a specific image {like I have my button choosen} I just zoomed in on the area I wanted shown as the app image and then hit the Add To Home Screen button. It worked!

Hopefully you have lots of fun adding countless new apps to your phone’s home screen!

♥ Fröhlich St. Nikolaus Tag Leute ♥

The title reads: Happy St. Nikolaus Day People. So if you read me last post {which you totally should & it explains the concept of the day} you would know that it is family tradition to celebrate St. Nikolaus Tag. Today is that day. I promised a photo and so you shall have it. While I was getting ready for work this morning, my five year old daughter shot out of bed and ran to the door and yelled, “Mommy, mommy, he came. He came and brought me candy. I was good.”

St. Nikolaus put candy in her shoes since she was good this year. If she were bad, he would have left her things for me to beat her with. But she is my little angel so I didn’t expect anything less. My favorite tradition and holiday by far out of the year. She loved it and always does. But this was the first year where she got out of bed by herself to come see. Every other year I would have to bring her over to show her. I’m so glad she has gotten excited about it.

So it was a nice morning. I was getting ready for work and she was begging to have her candy. I told her she can now go brag at school to all her friends who came to visit and leave candy in her shoes in the middle of the night. Its tradition to use a red boot or clogs. Her little crocs were the closest thing to clogs and we don’t own any boots since its still very hot out and no need for boots in the winter when it’s 80 degrees outside. Plenty of swimming suits though. just no boots.

So to all my friends out there that celebrate, I hope you had a fantastic and fun-filled morning waking up to goodies in your shoe. Hopefully no one was bad this year!

♥ St. Nikolaus Tag & Weihnachtsbaum ♥

Welcome December. I have always enjoyed Christmas as a child. But the biggest holiday of the year growing up was not Christmas but St. Nikolaus Tag. And now as an adult, I carry that holiday over to my child and get super excited every year it comes around.

Tomorrow is St. Nikolaus Eve I guess you could put. And I can’t wait to get started. Growing up in Germany, I do not do all the American holiday traditions but rather the German ones because of my up bringing and I really miss living in Germany at this time of year for these celebrations.

So of course, I said I wasn’t going to put up our Weihnachtsbaum {Christmas Tree} until next weekend but because of some plans being changed, I gave in and put it up last night. Lots of stress, screaming, yelling, cussing…. all because I have to have it done my way and no one else is allowed to touch it. Of course, the cat pretty much broke that rule and is now on punishment outside until the damn tree comes down. Damn you cat and your tree terrorizing!

Here are some photos of it this year. I was a lot more happier with it last year, because I had a lot more time I put into decorating it. This year, I did it at night and was cranky and like I said, it was chaotic. So the theme I use it copper and gold:

Since we live in a townhome with the upstairs hallway overlooking the living room downstairs, my husband thought we would have a lot more room if we just set it up there. So you can see the second bedroom door for upstairs in the photos and the last shot is from where I am sitting on the couch in the living room. It really lights up the place because our space is so open. We didn’t have any room downstairs for it so this worked out perfect. It is out of the way and yet can still be seen when you just look up.

So tomorrow evening, I am going to pull out my daughter’s St. Nikolaus gift. She gets excited every year to wake and and see what {he} brought her. For those of you who are unfamiliar with this holiday, it is the children’s biggest and most popular holiday throughout Germany. Every year on the night of December 5th, the children leave their shoes outside their door before they go to bed. While asleep, St. Nikolaus comes and fills the shoes with candy and small goodies for those who have been good. And for the children who have not been so nice, St. Nikolaus doesn’t travel alone. He brings along Knecht Ruprecht who wears a grim-reaper-style hooded cloak and carries a switches and a large burlap sack. Knecht Ruprecht's job is to punish the naughty children by leaving them a switches for their parents to beat them with, or if they were particularly bad, haul them away in his dark sack. {Yea, every story always has it’s dark side}

Luckily, I always got candy :) However, as I got older in high school, I got more awesome gifts like music cds and jewelry and makeup. Totally awesome. It is tradition that the shoe being left out is a red boot and they sell them everywhere in all stores this kind of year. Even pre-stuffed with candy too. Although, it is tradition to leave fruit in the shoes. Since I no longer live in Germany, they are not as easy to come by here so I have my daughter leave her shoes by the door and find little things to fill them up with.

So on December 6th, the children wake up and have so many things to share and brag about at school that morning. Its so fun and I just remember doing so many activities and parades and everything at school for St. Nikolaus Tag {St. Nick’s Day}. Oh, the memories and these are the times I really miss my childhood growing up over there. I really do miss it very much.

But since it can’t come to me anymore, I bring it into our family’s traditions and its one I never miss. I have been doing it with my daughter since she was born and I hope the tradition can continue to her children someday as well.

So next post, I will be sharing my photos of our St. Nikolaus Tag. I can’t seem to find any photos in the past from it. I think they are on cds packed away in boxes still. But none the less, we are excited and my daughter has been keeping track with a countdown calendar of when St. Nikolaus is coming!

♥ Tree, Lights, Santa… Oh My ♥

So, of course, I seem to have started a bunch of rants and raves for my “not celebrating Thanksgiving”. Don’t see why? Its just another day. If you love celebrating it, I’m so happy for you. If it makes you happy, then why not? But why bash someone who doesn’t? I don’t understand why people have to put others down for not “following them” lets say. I just choose for me or my family not to participate in it.

So of course, I do not celebrate Thanksgiving and now another ritual I do not do. Putting up my Christmas decorations this early. I seem to be the only person on my facebook page who still hasn’t put up their Christmas tree. A few people I know put their decorations and trimmings up right after Halloween. Now, I’m not going to bash, but please, just tell me why!? Why Why Why? I guess I will never understand. Maybe I’m just the odd one in all this.

But growing up, my mom did not believe in putting up the tree or any decorations until the Saturday before Christmas. That meant if Christmas came on Monday, it was up two days prior. Or if it fell on a Friday, Saturday, or Sunday, we would put it up the week before. That’s just how I grew up so to me, seeing 12 foot Santas on peoples porches or their lawns looking like Christmas threw up on it right now, well, honestly, just confuses me. But you know what? If it makes them happy, then it makes them happy and that’s all that matters. And yes, I took this photo to the right of our neighbor’s patio. They have a creepy 12 foot Santa on their balcony and at night, its all crazy scary looking all lit up. His face glows and so does the 5000 lights around him. This came right up on Nov 1st…..I think this lady is a crazy cat woman too!

This is the face I make everytime I seem to be asked why my decorations aren’t up yet:

Yea, that’s the face. I feel like stabbing myself in the eye when I am asked where’s all my Christmas vomit. I have decided that I will probably put up our tree the Saturday after St. Nikolas Tag so that would be the 10th of December. It evens sounds a bit too early for me but I think that will be good since it will be two weeks from Christmas. And plus we will be doing St, Nikolas Tag that week so it will get me in the Christmas mood.

Don't get me wrong…I LOVE Christmas. It is actually my favorite holiday of the year. I just don’t start decorating for it until it’s almost Christmas. Maybe its just how I was brought up. My mom had a very strict rule about when to put up the tree. So I guess it has seeped into my brain. Its just odd to me to see people with their trees and decorations up now. But you know, everyone does the holidays different.

So here’s to a merry year! Bottoms up…

• Paranormal Tales – Something Goes Bump In The Night •

So glad to have another story to feature this week. I have run out of tales, so please feel free to give a shout out if you would like the participate. Without further ado, this week’s featured story comes from, Nikki {NikkiDarlin’}. And her story begins:

Something Goes Bump In The Night

I have always been able to hear and see things most people haven't. Not saying that I want to see and hear things I did/do. I really hate it. It scared the crap out of me. It started back in my parents house. My grandmother and great grandmother both passed away in the house. As a kid I could hear someone walking in our hallway. It used to scare me, but then I got really used to it.

One of the most recent paranormal things to happen to me happened around last Christmas. Me and the husband were living in our 1st home together, a small 2 room trailer. We heard small things here and there like things falling, but nothing like this night. We were asleep in bed when I heard it. It being the sound of our window blinds slamming down on the bottom of the window. I thought someone was trying to break in, so I woke the husband and told him to go check it out. I was freaked out and holding the phone getting ready to dial 911. He came back into the bedroom and said there was nothing in the living room and the windows were fine. We laid back down and were almost asleep when I saw it.

It was a 3 foot tall spring-looking thing. It's hard to describe. It was a 3 foot tall spring with legs and arms and kind of smoky looking. It walked through our bedroom door and beside our bed. I was leaning up to see what it was when the husband raised up behind me and saw it too. So I wasn't losing my mind, I have a witness. It walked beside our bed and then was gone. I slept in the middle of our king size bed that night for being so freaked out and a few months later we moved.

We now are living in the new house and I have heard things here too, which brings me to think paranormal things follow me. One afternoon, about a week ago, I was cooking dinner. In our kitchen is the door leading down to the basement. I was chopping up some chicken when the basement door knob turned and opened the door. Freaking out I ran into the living room to see if anyone was in the driveway, thinking maybe someone came in through the back basement door. No one was home but me and my kid, who was in the living room at the time watching TV. I sucked up some courage and open the basement door all the way to see if I could see anything. There was nothing there.

Seeing ghostly mists or hearing noises that just cannot be explained would have my heart racing. But you may be right. There might be something that they are attaching their selves to you and not to the places you are living. Would sure be freaking the hell out of me regardless though. And I think my last straw would be seeing a door knob turning all by itself. That right there would make me shit a brick.

Thank you so much Nikki for sharing your story. Hopefully, you won’t have any more crazy stuff like that going on for a while or maybe not at all. I would go for the never again. I wouldn’t want to hear things and feel scared. Not fun at all.

♥ Tired & Can’t Sleep ♥

Ugh, so you know it’s exactly 1:00am here and I cannot sleep. Yes, I have to wake up in a few hours and go to work all freakin day. Ugh….just thinking about it makes my head vomit inside. I do, really appreciate the fact I do not work in retail or with customer service or anything like that. So at least it’s low key, but damn, still can’t sleep and have to be up soon.

The reason I can’t sleep is because there is some stupid dumb young kids in the next building over {yes, I live in an apartment} and so they are loud, annoying, obnoxious, smoking weed, drinking and playing their music. They are outside doing all this and it’s super annoying. I had to shut our windows and even with them shut, it sounds like the people are right outside our door. They are that loud.

I have yelled a few times outside to them saying “Shut the FUCK up”. Yet, that got them all pissed off and started screaming back at my like the drunk fools they are. So I went out there a few times and yelled to them to shut the hell up but of course, it added fuel to the fire and they got louder.

So I did the next best thing. I called the police to report a noise disturbance. But of course, like the the good old police, nothing came out of that. I was transferred numerous times and put on hold by every freakin person. Finally, after being on hold for so long, I had to just hang up. Figures. The police are worthless. If I was being robbed or attacked, I would have been dead by now. Stupid bastards.

So anyway, trying to get to sleep, I decided playing games and watching movies {and of course, writing this} may help. Hopefully anyway. So I’m watching The Hangover and played my Sims Social on facebook. Yes, don’t hate, I’m obsessed with that game. Take a look at my pretty pretty pink house I have going on there. Its so girly and sick. Doesn’t it just make you want to puke? I LOVE it!!!!! It’s totally me. If I was single and alone, I’d totally have a house like this dammit.

1. As a child, did you have one item/toy you were attached to?
When I was really young, I stole a blanket from my brother that I claimed and conquered as my own. It was a blue blanket and I named it "sucky". I dragged that thing around with me for years and would constantly bite and suck on it.

2. What would you consider to be your top three favorite holidays?
Number one...Christmas
Number two...Halloween
Number three...Valentines Day

3. What is your earliest memory
The thing I can remember from the farthest back was when I was 2 years old and we were living up in Alaska. My mom was a stay at home mom and she would take me and my brother to this kiddie gym inside this big rec center. My memory is I remember faintly playing in the big tunnels in that center and running around on the mats they had laying on the floor

4. Name three features about yourself you think is sexy
Number one...eyes
Number two...nose
Number three...boobs

5. What was your very first pet?
When I was five years old, we had a cat named Kitty. I loved that animal. We had to give her to my uncle a few years later when we moved to Germany because we couldn't take her overseas with us at the time. It killed me when I found out she had died. I hated my uncle for years for that. She was my first pet love and such a great cat too.

Ok, so Thanksgiving is rolling around quickly and I seriously hate this time of the year. Not for the same reasons you hear most people say. Most people complain about the cold weather {nope, we have been having heat waves down here}. Most people complain about crazy Christmas shopping {nope, I’m a last minute shopper}. No, the thing I complain about is how much I really dislike Thanksgiving. I do not like it I do not like it I do not like it….can I stress it enough?

One…I have never celebrated it and so I am so sick and tired of people asking me what my Thanksgiving Day plans are. I hate hearing it over and over every year {and especially from those who know I don’t celebrate it}. Just drives me crazy to have to sit there and explain why I really don’t give two shits about the lies of Thanksgiving.

Two…There is not one Thanksgiving food known to man that I will eat. I hate it all. Its gross, nasty and I have yet to see anything served on a Thanksgiving table that probably will not make me vomit or go into a screaming convulsion. This too, I am so sick of hearing people tell me over and over every year, “What?! You don’t eat turkey?” Hell no I don’t eat it. Its not a crime to dislike turkey and every other freakin Thanksgiving food so lay off please! Thank you. I don’t get it. What is such a shock over that? People like completely go ballistic when I tell them I don’t like it. Is it seriously world stopping news? Am I such a huge freak that I don’t like turkey? Cause it seems to be such a big deal to so many.

So when people ask me what my plans for Thanksgiving are….uh well….nothing. Like any other day I have off. I normally order Chinese food and play my Sims game. And clean and just bother my daughter and husband. My husband wants a turkey this year and I told him, alright. You buy it and eat it. I don’t’ have a problem with that. I just don’t want to look at it. I’ll have my beef lo mein and fried rice. Then I’ll be happy and content.

Plus, on top of that, I really do not believe in what Thanksgiving has stood for. All the hate and violence that this holiday is truly made up from. I do not wish to believe in this when it took so much horror to create it. It really sickens me to even think about it. Thanksgiving was not peaceful and not glamorous. And because of that, I have never celebrated it. So I am hoping for no more then 3 people this year to ask me what my Thanksgiving plans are or I will have to bring out crazy woman on their ass! And Radical Profeminist said it best by saying, “What's to be grateful for? Genocide? Think about THAT while passing the BLOODY cranberry sauce”. Very true indeed. Very sad and true that such a horror has been turned into a fabricated lie and to be celebrated.

So I took this photo today while on my lunch break at Burger King. As I stood there waiting for my food, the lady putting the food into everyone’s bags had her back turned and had laid her bag of cash from the register right there facing out on the counter inches away from my hands.

I was like, you’re kidding me right? I snapped this and a few other shots and then finally someone said something to her. How can you leave a bag of cash laying out for the world to see? I sure could have used it, but took my onion rings and went back to work. The frog is supposed to be the reenactment of what I was plotting in my head the whole time.
